Hey all - I've read the various articles on the site and have attempted to tweak my connection, since I prefer to learn about the stuff I'm messing with before asking for help. I'd like for you guys with vastly deeper experience to check out my settings and see if there is room for improvement. I'd like to squeeze every last bit of juice from this orange. :) I'm on Comcast, at the standard speed package.

Here is what a speed test shows:

http://www.speedguide.net/speedtest/results_img.php?test=69M602MEBPF4 (http://www.speedguide.net/speedtest/results.php?test=69M602MEBPF4)

Here is what the TCP Analyzer shows:

My upload speed strikes me as fairly low. The download speed, as far as I know, seems okay. Anyone have any suggestions on further tweaks? I'm also not opposed to picking through the registry if it can yield more results.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, I am not based in the US and does not know what the speed should be for ComCast standard package.

If it is 4000/384 kbps, then you tested speeds are pretty close to them, but you can try setting TCP Window to 64240 with window scaling uncheck to see if you can get similar but more stable speeds.

Oops. I thought I put that in there. The standard package is a 6MB download speed.

For 6 mbps speed package, your RWIN set to 128480 is correct. Since you are not achieving close to this speed, we need to do a check on signal quality. Do a tracert to www.yahoo.com and post.

Also, test your speed at a few other servers to rule out problem in your signal router to one test server: www.speedtest.net
