Hey guys!

First time posting anything here, but have been lurking for tips for some time.

I just recently moved to South Florida and landed in an area where Bellsouth can only give me, for the time being, a DSL Lite connection. This means 256/128 ADLS max for about a month or so, I need help trying to get the most out of these speeds.

What I have connected:
1 Windows XP-SP2 PC with 2GB RAM, P4-3.2GHz CPU, main board with intergrated Realtek fast ethernet set to auto for Link speed/Duplex mode, 1 Westell 6100 modem/router.

Some test results follow:

104 kbps up (~0.1 Mbps, 13 KB/s)↑

The theoretical network limit is 26.49 Mbps
The NDT server has a 105.0 KByte buffer which limits the throughput to 1.96 Mbps
Your PC/Workstation has a 11.0 KByte buffer which limits the throughput to 0.21 Mbps
The network based flow control limits the throughput to 0.23 Mbps
Client Data reports link is 'T1', Client Acks report link is 'T1'
Server Data reports link is 'T1', Server Acks report link is 'T1'

It's hard to use the Internet at these speeds after being used to much higher ones.

What do you think, any improvements possible with this connetion?

I would say your settings are already optimized when you can reach almost 90% of your given speed.

Your RWIN of 11616 is an even multiple of 8 of 1452.

Thanks trogers!

I needed some reassurance, I'll learn to live with these speeds for about a month...
