Bt Voyager 220v and sweex lc000070 wireless routers

I have a bt internet connect via a Voyager 220V router, does anybody know how to connect the two together so everything works normal? I had it set up two computers wired to the lan via the sweex and a laptop via wireless, able to access the net and surf, networked fully together, but for some strange reason no secure sites eg yahoo and hotmail would work. I disconnected the sweex and connected back up to one of the computers direct and I was able to get into the email sites again. I can only conclude it is something to do with the sweex but cannot figure out what. Any Ideas?

Well solved the problem on my own after much experimentation disabled dchp set the ip address to 198.168.1.2 rebooted and plugged into a lan port and not the wan and the router works fine as an access point now. So far no problems at all.
