Hey guys.
I have a quite, and i know, ridiculous problem.
I have a D-link 604 router, and recently switched to a High speed broad band provider (cable at 6mb download, 800k upload). And my problem with this is, that i am quite certain that the router itself might be the problem for a slow download rate. If i connnect the modem to my pc directly, everything runs perfectly, but if i put it though the router bitlord gets blocked almost completely...other downloads from sites and so forth if they requiremultiple connections, or games and such...all slow. Now i know what i did with the previous router i had (linksys); i forwarded the ports of the the programs such as bitlord to get the internet flowing. Now the problem is, i tried doing it with the d-link. I might be a noob at this or whatever the reason, but it did not work. (I tried adding the ports to the "Application" list)
If it is possible with the d-link (which i am certain it is) i was wondering if you good people could please maybe ionno show me by example what im supposed to do.
i just need to know what imfo goes where for this since the OS on the router is diff from the linksys.
