Hi;
I have a Netgear DG834G (not sure whether V2 or 3); home network running 2pcs (1 connected by ethernet), 1 by DLink wireless (this one is being replaced); 1 laptop connected by ethernet (will be replaced by the DLink wireless when the PC is replaced) & 1-3 laptops connected by wireless.
All run XP Home SP2, but the new computer will probably run Vista Ultimate 32Bit. Router is set up to recognise the MAC addressses of the wireless computers, and has WEP encryption. All computers either run Norton or McAfee too.
I want to monitor my 25 Gig limited ADSL account from the new computer to see which of the attached computers are using up all my bandwidth. If possible, I would like to limit all the bandwidth except from my computer (the new one).
Is this possible with the Netgear Router/Modem? Should I buy some software that does this for me & do I have to connect my computer directly to the router to be able to do this. I also have some Proxy software called Wingate, but I can't figure out how to use it (last time I bombed all the computers net connections....)
Thanks for any help
