My old Westell 6100 modem stopped working a week ago so I replaced it with the Zoom ADSL X6. I finally got online after countless attempts of calling Zoom Technical support and such. So right now, I'm having two issues:
1. I can never go online when my McAfee anti-virus, firewall, privacy service, spam-killer, etc. is on. I always have to turn it off in order to get online. Is there any way to turn on my McAfee anti-virus and firewall while going online?
2. The other problem is that in online games, I feel that my connection is slower than before. The gameplay feels choppy sometimes and it lags a lot more than using my old Westell modem. Is there anything I need to setup first before getting the best possible connection?
I'm currently using Verizon Online DSL (768kbps).
