Hi,

I have a dlink di-lb604 dual wan router... when im accessing the net i always get the page cant be found. but when i refresh it a couple of times.. the web site will load... i tried any other sites and still the same problem. i tried directly connecting my cable modem to my pc and check if the problem is in my isp.. but i dont get any error with it... do you think its my router? i reset the router, same problem it didnt resolved it... so right now im using my wifi router cause it really annoying that everytime i'll access the net the page wont load at first but when refreshed its already ok...

Couple of things that I'd try......
First...depending on who your ISP is...you may need to power off your cable modem for a few minutes..so it forgets the MAC address of the device it was connected to before...and learns the MAC of your new router. You can also do something like clone MAC address with the router..so it will "fake out" the modem by telling it the MAC address that you entered..such as the MAC of your wifi router or PC.

Second...generally it's good to make sure your router has the latest firmware.

I've worked with some dual WAN routers before (have one at home)...but not the DLink model...is it setup correctly? As far as how to work the WAN ports? If you're not using one...don't have it in load balance or failover mode..o

Manually set the MTU on the router..sometimes "auto" isn't best...I generally prefer to manually override it...1500 for cable.

thanks for the reply

i set it up correctly before... after a week maybe that problem just happened.. i already updated my firmware before and right now im just using 1 isp cause the other one is down. i just wanna fix it so that when the other isp is fixed i can use it already. one more thing, i havent tested it for dual wan cause the other isp was down for 2 weeks already and im so pissed with that... i also setup properly my wifi router to become an access point correctly so no problem with that.. its just the connection. i tried pinging google.com -t and no problem with that.. always reply reply reply... hmm...

One of my ISPs used to do MAC locking.
