Photoshop help

[ColdFusion]

Hey Guys,

I have this picture (1024x768) and i need to make part of the picture darker ... either by decreasing the brightness or contrast of that part (its only like 100x100 in size but i cant seekm to figure out how to do that. Obviously you can adjust the contrast but it does the entire picture and for the life of me i cant figure out how to just darken a small section of the picture. Any ideas?

can you post the pic and maybe someone could try a few things for ya ?

try useing the marque tool to select the area ya want, might have to feather it some also, then hit control + J to make the selection a new layer, then hit control + L to bring up the levels options and try some other adjustments.

or you might try the burn tool as well
