Hi all!
I have an issue that I just can't figure out myself - any help would be welcomed!
I have a Zyxel P-335WT router connected to WAN and two computers in a small apartment each using a Zyxel G260 WLAN USB-card. These are all 802.11b/g/g+ compatible.
First off all I have never been able to reach the 125Mbps that G+ is supposed to offer, but that's not really the issue, it might be too much disturbance from the neighbours.
The major issue is the transmission rate between the two computers: when I download something (e.g. bittorrent) I reach about 20 Mbps which is what I expected considering the broadband subscription. But when I try to transfer a file from one computer to the other, within the network, I only reach 0.3 Mbps! A movie took 3 hours to transfer when I left it running, which of course is unacceptable.
I have set up a Windows Network, where the filetransfer is initiated by drag-and-drop from/to shared folders. I would prefer if this solution worked as I want to be able to play music directly from the shared folders.
I had the same problem when I set up the network a week ago, but could solve it by turning off the firewall in the router. The firewall is still off, but suddenly the speed dropped and has stayed low for several days no matter what I have tried. Does anyone please have some sort of solution or hint? The speed computer-router seems to work fine, but somehow the traffic is lost/corrupted/directed the wrong way or something in the computer-router-computer case...
Thanks for your help!
