Go to this site that guides you in setting a static LAN IP address and port forward for a wide range of running software and brands of routers:

can i just use dmz ?
You can. But doing so will cancel out the benefit of the hardware firewall provided by your router.
im only using a router for wifi. im using dmz mode right now, but for some reason i cant connect to my ftp, can it because of the router or its the ftp ?

Should not be the router as you are in DMZ. Try testing without the router.
ot, but are there any utilities that could tell me how much bw is used overall between all the users connected wirelessly, and if theres a way i could limit a amt of bw to each user ?

Try searching Google for 'bandwidth limiter' or 'bandwidth manger'.
