Plz Help!!

i got a LINKSYS WRT54G router....my sister got a laptop and she wants to connect to the internet with it......my PC can connect to the internet with out it....but when i connect the router to my PC it cannot connect to the internet...

i removed it again and my PC still can connect.....used the router again the PC cant connect again...

PLZ HELP!!!

If you have Comcast, you need to hook the router up, then power off your cablemodem and router for a few minutes - then power on the router, then the cablemodem. Comcast registers the mac address of the 1st device behind the cablemodem(your pc in this case). Powering off the cablemodem will have it resync back with the office then register the mac of the router, and you and your sister should then be fine as long as you have the router configured OK.
