Hello,
I'm having a home network with PC and laptop clients behind a PC (win2003 server) with WinProxy that acts as the router.
I'm using the latest version of WinProxy.
One of the clients is a laptop from work. To connect to the corporate network I have to use a VPN connection that is using IPSec. It is working fine from anywhere (Starbucks, hotels,...) except from my home.
I tried everything possible: switched off firewalls, tried winproxy as NAT or transparent proxy, upgraded all the SW and drivers,... Still no luck.
My wife's VPN (that is Cisco based) works. It also seems to require IPSec.
What goes wrong during the connection?
- I can get the initial L2TP connection to work (if I disable the firewall).
- However, the following PPP authentication process never works.
Could the cable modem play a role?
