So here's the basics. I like to game online while using Teamspeak and have a 1.2mb dsl. My upload speeds are consistently about 130-136kbps but my downloads can vary from 450 to 1150 kbps. I did see 1200kbps once :) I'm hoping you guys can help me dial in my settings with tcpoptimizer to take the most advantage of my setup.

I'm using RWIN 64240 unscaled and I'm not sure if it'd be better to use RWIN 128480 scaled, I'm sure you guys may have other suggestions. I've also noticed in the threads various DefaultTOSValues. Mine is blank and I have no idea how this benefits me.

I've been searching threads trying to find a similar request, but surprisingly I'm finding most people have much higher dsl speeds so I'm having trouble comparing recommendations.

AMD 4000+, On-Board LAN with Marvell LAN chipset and Gigabit port, Frontiernet DSL and Win XP Pro. I'm using cat5 cable on a 100mb private lan.

Thanks

but my downloads can vary from 450 to 1150 kbps. I did see 1200kbps once :)

Such a high fluctuation of speed can be due to various factors: problem in signal quality, presence of spyware/malware or not using the latest firmware.

Try following the tips of this thread and also reduce your RWIN to 32120 to suit 1.2 mbps bandwidth:
