new to this so I was wondering if you have multiple files burned on a cd can you delete only one if you want to ?

And is it bad or good to put labels on them? How many times can you burn cd's before they go bad?

1. Unless your using a rewritable CD, then no. Once it's burned to a CD, you can't take a file off.

2. Labels. Depends on who you talk to. If you do, make sure you use good ones and make sure they are applied right.

3. Once you burn a CD, that's it. Again there are rewritable CD's. (CD-RW) I have no idea how many times you could reuse them. Maybe hundreds.

Where id the proper place to put the label as long as it is not touching the sides, please?

Do you recommend labeling or better off writing on it with marker?

Only put a label that's designed for a CD, ie, the type that cover the entire top surface. I wouldn't put any other shape or type of label on the disc as it'll actually cause the weight of the disc to be unbalanced.

Writing the labels? Do what Yardy posted, if you go the labels route, by a package with everything you need. You'll need a proggie, the labels and a mechanism to apply them so they don't get out of balance.

There's also a couple of other ways. You can get CD-R's that have a printable surface. You'll also need a printer made for them.

Then there's lightscribe. You'd need a burner that utilized lightscribe and a program to make them up along with special disc's that allows you to burn on the upside of the disk. These make dandy looking disc's but can get expensive.
