Good day to all speedguide members, moderators, fellows,

First time to post here..

I'm applying for a local adsl entry level:384 speed for upload since i already using their phone line. it'l take 7 to 10 bsd perhaps.

Question is: do i need to use an internet tweak or software tools to maximize my broadband connection?

or Change MTU settings?

Or do i leave everything as is(default), to not mess your working connection.

My future setup btw is one modem to my own pc w/built in network card,no routers, no other networking devices.

Thanks

There is no tweaks for upload speed. To keep your upload bandwidth optimum, ensure a clear signal line and keep your comp free of spyware/malware.

TCP Optimizer can be used to tweak download speed, esp if your given speed is high. Windows default setting of XP may not perform well when bandwidth is 3 mbps or more.

apologies to my earlier post,trogers..
i was referring to 384 kbps speed DOWNLOAD for the adsl package.
i typed the wrong direction.

Can you tweak this to get the most efficient connection?

Or just leave everything as is,since i'm not planning on sharing a connection-
just my own pc to a modem.(in the future when my dsl system is up)
