ID3 Tag editors???

Can you use winamp to edit the tags? File / View File Info. Does that do it or does that just change it in winamp only?

Yes, but very so and tedious...I was looking for something automatic that reads the filename and works it in for me.

I just had to rename 15 MP3s, using their tag info. Three shots below show how easy it is with Tag & Rename.

Load directory:

CTRL+A to select all files

First take on Tag and Rename is awesome. Made it very easy to do all 4k+ in one shot. It was also easy to find a few misnamed files I had not caught and I was able to fix them very quickly.

Found the option of tagging Mp3 files in FlexiMusic Wave Editor (http://www.fleximusic.com/waveditor/overview.htm), editing and converting software. From the file menu, choose "File Properties (ID3 Tags)" option, with this option the mp3 files can be tagged. All the Mp3 files can’t be tagged at a time; it has to be tagged individually.
