I have a D-link DI-624, revision C router with the latest firmware 2.75 i believe.
I have ethernet connected to my main pc which works properly with no problems and I have a wireless connection to my PC downstairs using a D-link wireless adapter, which does not work.
Everytime I try to surf the net it brings up a dns error, or says that Internet Explorer could not find the search page.
I have contacted D-link and they performed countless tests on the router and the adapter until we got "disconnected"
I don't think it is a security problem, I have tried every option WEP, WPA, WPA 2 and all of the options and Security keys match.
The D-link software does detect the router and is showing a signal quality of 68% but it cannot connect to the net or the router options at 192.168.0.1
I must also mention that this all started when I moved the wired pc, along with the modem and router into another room. It was working fine before.
Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
