What are your upload speeds?

And what internet service provider do you use? My up speeds max out at 30kbs which is a problem because on the best torrent sites they kick you for having low upload numbers. Is there anyway to increase your upload speed? If not, are there any world wide service providers that allow much higher upload speeds? Sometimes I get uploads from people at up to 200kbs.

Is that 30 KB/s (KiloBytes) or 30 kbps (kilobits)?

Mine is at 512 kbps or 56 KB/s and I can run torrents fine through BitComet. Just need to set global max upload speed in BitComet to 30 KB/s so that I can leave some spare upload bandwidth for my downloads to send out receipt acknowledgement signals.

Cox Comcast or Roadrunner, if they're in your area should have a premium package that offers more of an upload, optiumum online and verizon FIOS too.

Torrents do run just fine - I never said anything about them not running correctly.

The problem is that the upload speed I get on my comp is very low. Hurts my ratios. They're actually fine on every other site I'm on. About .75 on average. Would be so much better if I could up at 100KB/s, though.

On Oink which I just was invited to I get about a 900/KBs download on everything. And since it's filled with nothing but great quality, hard to find stuff in 1 day I've downloaded 2 gigs. Since most people are already DONE leeching, they're seeding... so there's no one for me to upload to. My ratio is very low right now because of this. I'm not BELOW the limit but still.

Lots of people are in your position, they just see what the latest thing is and download it so that they can be a seeder. Its probably going to be your only choice.
