I have two computers one connected wirelessly and another connected wired, to a DGL-4300. My wired computer is lagging greatly, after a while, the internet goes out on it. I run the browser and IE 7.0 keeps searching for the router and internet and causes the computer to crash. I try to get to the router administraion screen, but no luck. At this time my wireless lap top doesnt go down. I have formatted the computer, and replaced the network card. I run outlook 2007 in the background while surfing the net. Even though i cant access the net, i can check my network storage device, and the other computer, but the wired computer doesnt want to connect, unless i reboot it.

I have tried running UTORRENT and outlook 2007 while browsing the net. After a while Internet explorer doesn't connect to the internet, but Outlook and utorrent continue getting email and downloading. I turn them of, and retart them and they work. IE 7 doesn't work, I have the firewall disabled, and problem still occurs, I just enabled the Firewall and added Internet Explorer exception to windows firewall.

No luck, internet explorer keeps going down, but i can still check my email. Could the router be bad, or the cable connecting to the router?

Try a different calbe and also a different port on the router.

Crypt,
I had recently experienced an issue that sounds somewhat similar. Turned out to be caused by a sagging 3.3 volt rail. Normally I have atleast 3.26 Vdc, but the connection quality to the motherboard had deteriorated a little, thus providing 3.16 VDC to the PCI slots. The result: the NIC card did not like it!
Re-seating the power supply connector corrected the problem. May or may not help out, YMMV.
