Hey guys, I have an instructor who is having some problems and I'm not for sure what to tell him. He has a HP P2 333 computer (AMD) 64M of RAM. IE 4.0 runs fine, but if he upgrades to 5.0 or 5.5 then when he boots the computer will take 10-15 minutes to boot up. Once if finally makes it to the desktop, his background will come on in sections at a time. I don't know what all software he has installed on this machine. We were just talking about the subject today and thought I'd ask the best :D All I know is that he's running Win98 (1st). I want to say he's reformated before but I'm not sure.. Netscape 4.xx will run OK and occassionaly hang on him. But it doesn't have the start up prob. Any suggestions? I recommended reformating to start, but he's hesitant.
