Alright, I'm having troubles with speed issues, and have no idea where to start to fix it, I did read through several threads, but I got completely lost
My problem is, I have just moved into a new place and bought a new laptop, I'm connected to the internet here via a household wireless connection...I have not met the people who are in control of it since, except to get the passcode to log-in, so I don't even know who my isp is (is there a way to find out on computer/net?)
I am completely new to wireless internet, so have no idea if that's what the cause is
but the problem is, my d/ls are going at between 3-9 kbps, and pages are loading very slowly as well..
My connection page has my speed at 54 mb/s...I used a few internet speed tests, which say that I'm around 133 kbps dl, and 66 kbps ul
my wireless adapter is Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN
where do I start to fix this? I used the tcp optimizing tool, but that didn't help
please let me know what additional information you need to to help me out, I'm desperate
thanks for any help!
