I have a wireless router, which my computer connects to, and then an AP modem that is LANed with that router. The AP connects to a wireless internet.

Ive been trying to forward my ports for a while with no success. I have gone to portforward.com, and have gone through everything for my normal wireless router..although i dont know if it is even working.

Lets say im trying to forward port 9000, here is where im at so far.

So far basically I Have a static IP on my computer: 192.168.1.100. Following portforward.com i have forwareded the 9000 port to my static ip. Seems simple enough, although i dont know how to test it.

The problem i think is with the AP modem. Portforward has nothing on it so ive been experimenting with no success.

I cant get a static ip on the AP modem, even tho i have tried, and even without it i always have the same IP.

My On internet IP is : 204.225.249.6 and seems to never change (oddly enough two of my friends who use the same wirless ISP get the same IP as me)

What is confusing to me is all the IPs this AP modem seems to show. SO the AP connects wirelessly to the ISP and shows me a bunch of IPs in the command interface.

first off: is LAN Interface: 192.168.20.1 (which is what i type in to login to the setup pages)

Then there is, under WAN connection Info my ip is 10.19.170.112, the preffered DNS on this ip 204.225.249.34 so im assuming thats where my Net ip is coming from. And then there is the WAN info from my other router which gives an ip of 192.168.20.12.

So now there are two problems:

I dont know which IP i should make static and I dont know which IP to forward ports to.

This may be confusing cause i typed it bad, if anyone wants to help but needs more info on my setup i can post screens.

Thanks for any help.
