Hi everyone,
I have been using a D-Link DSL-G604T Wireless ADSL Router for the past 3 months. At least several times a week (sometimes more), I encounter problems establishing my connection to the Internet using my wireless connection (the wired connection is fine).
The router will be on, and my wireless adapter (Intel PROSet/Wireless) says I'm connected to my router. But I won't be able to access the Internet, surf the web, check email or even ping websites.
So I usually reboot the router (using the web based interface). I also try turning off and on my router. Sometimes my Net connection will be established after that. But sometimes I have to wait up to 30 mins before the Internet connection is established. Sometimes it NEVER establishes.
There's nothing wrong with my ISP, because my other PC which is connected to the router via a RJ45 cable can connect to the Internet no problem. I have also upgraded my wireless adapter software already.
I was told that I could try upgrading my firmware. My current Firmware Version is V1.00B02T02.SG.20041110. But according the the DLink website in my country, the upgrade is only for ADSL2 connections (I'm using a simple 512k residential ADSL).
Is there anything else I can do to fix this frustrating time-waster?
Thanks all.
