Hi,
I'm trying connect to a printer on our network that is connected to an hp jetdirect 300x print server. The way I went about trying is like this:
1. Tried adding a local printer and creating a standard tcp/ip port to connect through.
2. The wizard then asked what kind of device was connected so I chose HP jetdirect
3. The following is the information that the wizard shows:
SNMP: Yes
Protocol: RAW, Port 9100
Device: 192.168.0.230
Port Name: 192.1668.0.230
Adapter Type: HP Jet Direct
4. The printer I am trying to install is a Richo Aficio 450/455 PCL so I chose that as the printer to install After that it seemed to install fine, however when I try to print a test page or any other document it never prints.
I know that the print server is set up correctly because several people use it everyday, but here's the setup anyway:
IP: 192.168.0.230
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Defauly Gate: 192.168.0.10
Base Port: 10000
Under DHCP the IP address in NVRAM is selected
Any help would be great but it's not URGENT since it can be accessed by sharing.
Thanks.
