My friend has Juno dialup service (high speed isn't available in the boonies) and wants to use a secondary email address. Receiving is no problem--the other address is just redirected to her Juno account. But sending is another story.

Is there ANY WAY possible to send email through Juno with a "From" address other than somone@juno.com?

From what I am gathering.. your friend wants to send a email out from Juno's email, with another email address other then "Juno.com?
Unless you can setup other "POP" Email settings from Juno's email web page, I would say no.

The work around would be, just opening up a free web based email account,
like on "Yahoo.com" and use that..

Sounds like the problem may be with the other email account, not with Juno.

Many ISPs limit outgoing email to only their customers, so you have to be connected to that particular ISP (having their IP address) to be able to login/send email using the provided by them email addresses. That is one way to limit/contol outgoing spam from their customers. As suggested, your best bet may be web-based email

No, the other email account is on my domain. And I have sent email using a return address from that domain via a couple other SMTP servers.

The problem is that Juno's software doesn't provide any mechanism to specify the return address. And AFAICT they require you to use their own email client. Of course the main reason for that is that they receive their revenue from advertisers and they want to be very sure they blast the ads into the faces of their free-loadin' customers.
