I posted this over in the other forum with no interest so far. so I'm gonna try here.Here's what I posted.
Any takers over here?
I have installed the patch for the vdx files.
But when checking the drivers files It don't look right.
Here is what was said over in the page.
For example, in my Modem Driver details, I had " C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VCOMM.VXD (VMM32) " before, and just " C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VCOMM.VXD "
Now mine shows up like this:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VCOMM.VXD(VMOUSE.VXD)
now on the second lines it shows this
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VMOUSE.VXD
And then of course the mouse driver on the third line.
The reason I ask is because my wife's pc has been locking up since I installed the patch.
could this be the reason?
I need help quick. before someone dies (me)
