I was looking at the Windows Tweaking Tips on speedguide's site and www.cablenut.com's (http://www.cablenut.com's) site. I have 256MB RAM. All I have running in the taksbar is MSN messenger, Intellipoint, sound control, and virus protection. Speedguide suggested MinFileCache=65536
MaxFileCache=65536 ChunkSize=512. Cablenut suggested MinFileCache=8192 MaxFileCache=8192 ChunkSize=512. Which one should I set mine to? Also, what settings should I use for my comp? 512,384,or 256? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Ahoyhoy

8190 is used for 32mb in the speedguide tweak, weird.

I use an App called " cacheman ". It's up to ver 4.0. goto this site...

For 256mb RAM, setting is 131072 for MinFile & MaxFile both.

65536 is for 128mb RAM.

Chunksize can be left blank.

Be sure to defrag before setting values & reset after every defrag.
