I am having a problem with my Dell computer's sound. The sound is garbled when I play movie trailers. All of the rest of my sound is fine. One of the many Dell suggestions was that I try a speed guide patch. I have downloaded the patch for Windows ME and have extracted it but I cannot get it installed. Any constructive advice?

After you download the file, open it up , you should come up with either an .INF file or a REG file , right click on it and hit install. After you install the registry settings I suggest restarting for the settings to take affect.

Thanks knicks. When I download the file and highlight the icon that appears and then right click I don't see install as one of my choices. When I open the file I get text in Notepad that tells me to highlight the .inf file and right click. Can you tell me what I'm missing?
