Man I got Big BF2 problems...

Game has been perfect since it came out. All I did was install 2142 (then uninstalled). Now I can play single player, but as soon as I click on a server and hit join, it instantly crashes to the desktop. I go to uninstall, it gets to a screen, and just closes. I go to install, pick "english" and then it just dissappears and nothing happens when it goes to the installation wizzard. I don't know WTF is going on. The last thing I did was get that .dll file for BF 2142.

ya I had that problem with bf1942 when I had bf2 installed before it. It seems liek EA doesnt want its older games installed after the newer ones are out.

Wow, I totally do not get this. I was told to try and turn my audio hardware acceleration down a few notches, and that lets the game install. I'm happy it worked, but all I gotta say is WTF?

try installing 2142 again ?


Then try the rest again...clearing your temp files n such before hand

My BF2 stopped working (multiplayer, crashed as soon as I hit join server) as soon as I installed 2142. I got rid of 2142 because I don't plan on buying it, then my BF2 still wouldn't work. I got it now, but I never had to turn down my audio acceleration before to get it to install. Wierd... Turned it back up to full and the game runs perfect like before.
