How can you tell which codec a video needs? A pilot buddy sent me his flying video but WMP won't open it. It gives no info on what it needs, only that it can't play it.

Thoughts?

I use to remember a program that would scan a file to find the proper codec. I will see if I can find a link again.

If you're looking for a codec program.

Search and Download K-Lite Codec Pack

I use this codec program, and it never fails me. It has played any video i've thrown at it, unless the video was corrupt, or an unrelated corruption problem.

My brother sent it to me, and i lub <3 it.

Cheers.
