Do this network diagnostic test and post the results under the 'Statistics' button:

The reason your downloads stopped half way is that you were timed out of the connections due to very high latency (round trip time) of 1741ms.
Common reasons for such high latency can be due to
electromagnetic interference on your signal device such as modem
or bad signal line

I have no idea what that means at all. what can I do to fix the problem?

Give us the following details:
Your location - country
Your ISP and the speed you paid to get
Your operating system
How is your computer connected to the modem. Any router and any other computer(s) sharing the same line?
Do you run any P2P software in the background?

USA
AT&T Broadband and speed 768 Kbps
Windows XP
My computer is connected straight to the modem with the ethernet cable.
I have no P2P programs in the background.
I didnt start having this problem until this saturday, when I installed this program called Full Speed that was suppose to increase my speed.Thats when the problem started. I removed the program andthe problem continued so I found this site.

Do the TCP Analyzer test of this website and post. Remember to x out your IP address.

TCP properties for IP xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ()
Browser/OS = Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7
Notes: Read the Analyzer FAQ if the above is not your IP address.
TCP options string = 020405ac0103030201010402
MTU = 1492
MTU is optimized for PPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.
MSS = 1452
MSS is optimized for PPPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising your MTU value.
Default TCP Receive Window (RWIN) = 257004
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 2 bits (scale factor of 4)
Unscaled TCP Receive Window = 64251
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other RWIN values that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
511104 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
255552 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
127776 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
63888 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test):
Your TCP Window limits you to: 10280.16 kbps (1285.02 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your TCP Window limits you to: 4112.064 kbps (514.008 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

Just uninstall Full Speed is not enough. You have to use a Registry Cleaner to rid any remaining entries of this software.
After you have clean and reboot your comp, use the following custom settings with TCP Optimizer:
General Settings tab:
Custom settings - check
Modify All Network Adapters - check
network adapter selection - your NIC
MTU - 1492
TTL - 64
TCP Receive Window - 31944
MTU Discovery - Yes
Black Hole Detect - No
Selective Acks - Yes
Max Duplicate ACKs - 2
TCP 1323 Options:
Windows Scaling - uncheck
Timestamps - uncheck
Advanced Settings tab:
Max Connections per Server - 10
Max Connections per 1.0 Server - 20
LocalPriority - 5
Host Priority - 6
DNSPriority - 7
NetbtPriority - 8
Lan Browsing speedup - optimized
QoS: NonBestEffortLimit - 0
ToS: DisableUserTOSSetting - 0
ToS: DefaultTOSValue - 80
MaxNegativeCacheTtl - 0
NetFailureCacheTime - 0
NegativeSOACache Time - 0
LAN Request Buffer Size - 32768
Then select "Apply Changes" and reboot to take effect

Do you mean TCP optimizer does not accept the values, or do you mean the values do not change after you click ok and reboot.

TCP Optimizer wont accept the values.when I enter them the values do not show.It keeps the value I had before typing in the value you gave or becomes blank.

You have to click the small round circle at the bottom right (just above 'exit') to do custom settings.
After that, the boxes where you can enter values will turn white in colour and you can then follow the custom settings I gave you earlier, step by step.
