there it is! i lost that site during my last format (2nd in a row, done out of anger).

my only hope for the future is that since Creative bought Aureal's intellectual property, then they might continue with updating drivers for the Vortex. one can only hope...

Did you get your sound card working? I still haven't had any luck.

No they don't work, I don't think the card is supported in 2000.

Are you using the drivers from the 2000 cd?

I'm using the drivers that are built-in to Win2k. They were automatically installed upon the Win2k installation.

I tryed the ones built into Win2k and they wouldn't work for me either. I think I know why. They used to work when I used Win2k w/ my P3. But now w/ AMD the drivers dont work. GLC, I know you use Celerys & P3's for the time being and yours works. Intense, I am guessing you are using an AMD w/ possibly a VIA chipset. That is what I am using and if you are using something similar, we may have nailed down the problem once and for all http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/biggrin.gif Maybe we can shed some light on this and help others in the future.

PS I ended up getting an SB Live Value which works fine and sound about as good.

freckmoto and intense, you weren't trying to use the digital out where you? Just the anologue connections, correct?

Hmmm, I wasn't using the digital either. Maybe it has something to do with the AMD proc?
