Hello all,
Ive set up a pc running 2003 server, first time, god help me....but having issues with some pc's running XP pro accessing the internet. Server restart usually does the fix.
When i check event viewer, dhcp errors. Im thinking ive screwed up DNS settings. Servers set up dhcp, because everytime i set it manually, i cant access the web.

Router manages DHCP, server does not. Should it be set that way?
for the love of god...someone please help....

first,

welcome to SG

second,

you posted in the wrong forum,

third,

The easiest way to fix your problem is to enable DHCP on your router, disable DHCP on your server, then assign a static IP for your server. Your router should alow you to do this, you just have to know the MAC address of the NIC card on your server.
