I'm running Nero7 Ultra Edition and for some damn reason the smart start sucker goes into "Not Responding" when I launch it.. I've tried to reinstall it 3 times and the same results.. it works fine on another system with the same OS however i'm curious if the DualCore is causing it since thats really the only difference of the systems besides one is Intel and one is AMD... anyone got any ideas???

Have you had other versions of Nero on this machine? I've had similar problems but usually removing the proggie and reinstalling, takes care of it.

I would uninstall it and use a registry cleaner liek the one in ccleaner, then reinstall it. nero 7 works fine with dual core CPUs.

no earlier versions of it were on the computer...
Yes I used regcleaner each time before each re-install.......
Still have the Not responding or the program locks up on that computer for some odd ball reason.

I purchased this version... I don't have a old version... kinda waste of money if it won't work but it works on the other computer... something just ain't clickin right.

I think I'm going to either end up reformatting the damn harddrive and trying it again or just remove it and forget the whole thing... sucker is annoying me how in the hell can it work on one computer thats 3 years older than the newer one??:irate: :irate:
Have you downloaded the AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor Driver (http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_13118,00.html)?

yep and a optimizer
Are you using the nForce IDE drivers? If so go back to microsoft one if possible. I have 3 Nero 6 CD's if you want one. Dunno if they are drive specific though.

Try going into softmode and then removing all your Nero stuff. Could be that something isn't getting removed that's causing all the problems.

Nero has a habit of not completely installing.
Get their Cleaning Tool here.

ok i used the tool and did a full uninstall and went through with reg cleaner to see if I missed anything.. everything seems to be gone.. It wouldn't remove it in safemode so that idea didn't work. Now i'm trying to decide if I want to put it back on or not.. I'd like to but I'm curious if WMP will fit my needs of burning what few things I might burn with it.
