Help uninstall Firefox plz

i want to uninstall Firefox 1.0.7 version i use so that i can update to the latest version, but i dont want to lose my bookmarks and stuff

what do i need to move or do so that i can uninstall completely and then reinstall new version and have all my bookmarks back so i dont have to find the sites again and replace em

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.qfb\bookmarks.html is where it's stored..similar to the "Favorites" folder IE keeps in each users profile...except this is one html file..not a bunch of URL shortcuts like IE Faves keeps.

Or..you can export it from within FF..put the file on your desktop...then import it.

Whichever way is easier for you...it's just a single file in the same spot.

Import/Export.....just go to manage bookmarks ....it's silly easy.

If you simply uninstall then reinstall Firefox then you won't lose anything since your profile directory stays intact. You can always use MozBackup (http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com).

ahhh, the joy i get when i see useful and correct responses from friends at SpeedGuide

i will have to give that import/export a try when i get home from work cause i get a little worried with FF 1.0.7 :eek: cause i havent gotten the newer updates cause the last 1 i tired kept giving me timed out requested often, but i hear from alot of people that it has been a known issue and been fixed

plus 1.0.7 when you manually click the check for updates, lol doesnt find any :nope:
