Hello Everyone,

I am trying to figure out how to sysprep a machine.

So far i've created the

c:\sysprep\
c:\sysprep\i386
c:\sysprep\drivers

I guess my question is when i run the manager the PC shutsdown and i should boot up with the ghost to create the bootable image. "is this a correct assumetion??"

What command lines should i select in sysprep?"image is for my laptop"

Thanks

Yes, setup windows the way you want it, then run sysprep and shutdown the system. Boot up using ghost and create the image before allowing the system to boot to windows again.

Subtle differences in the one for 2K vs XP if I recall (haven't sysprepped 2K in a while)....but I don't even create directories..download it..unpack it..run it..answer a rather self explanatory radio button choice...shut machine down. Proceed with cloning before you boot it up again...else you'll defeat the wiping that sysprep did because it will continue on with the unbuckle Q&A. Meaning..you know those last steps when you install an OS or receive a new PC from Dell or whatever...you boot up for the first time..there's a few questions..machine name, blah blah blah...

Speaking of haven't done it for 2K in a while..gonna do a bunch tomorrow.
