Just wondering if its they needed

i put Java update 8 in and i see that i have update 5 6 and 7 still installed, if i uninstall those 3 is it still good since i have 8 or are the other updates required? i figure its safe to delete 5 6 & 7 and just leave 8 but then again it could cause a problem?!
