Hi, MY Wireless card has resently stop wroking with the router i have. i have had it for 6 mouths now and it had always worked untill yesterday. The router has anetwork key which i enter probrly but when it is connecting it gets stuck at accuring network address. i also have a regular lan card which is how i am connected now. since owning the router and wireless card the signal strength has never been better than low eventhough i am only10 yards from the router.
the router is the http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=0&pid=6
the card is http://support.dlink.com/Products/view.asp?productid=DWL-520
but has been disscontinued.

Hi cikrum:), I'm suprised you actually had that wireless card working, every time I have tried to set one up it barely receives a signal. I would try updating your drivers for that card, it has an Atheros chipset so you can use these drives (http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/forms/portal20.cfm?recordid=3436&formid=3394&website=AcerPanAm.com/us&siteid=7293&words=all&keywords=&areaid=7), it should improve things if anything can.

Thx for the idea but it didn't boost the signal. so i think i will just buy a new card, but i am not sure which one to buy. any suggestions would be great. the routers i use are the dlink 624 http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=6
and the di 634M http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=458
thx

It's not going to boost your signal, just hopefully improve it. If you are going to buy a new card stay far away from Dlink cards, they suck. I would suggest a Linksys.

I think i have found one that should be good but i am not sure if it will work with the dlink router. it is the TEW-443PI trendnet adapter. Would this be ok with the dlink.
