View Full Version : is it possible to get my old defgrager back?
I installed a trial disk-keeper program. Now that the trial is up i'm trying to figure out how to get my standard defragmentation program back and running. I'm running windows xp.

If you are referring to the defragger built into XP, just use as you always did.
:)
ok. Under system tools my defrag option is not there.

You could always use Diskepeeper Lite (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=1207), it's free and pretty much the same defragger that comes built into XP.

You can type "dfrg.msc" in run, or goto c:\windows\system32\ folder and make a shortcut of dfrg and place it where you want, just rename the shortcut to defragmenter.
Perfect Disk is the best defragger, but it costs money.
