Does anyone know any program that enables you to run an application while your computer is off? For instance, I have a PPPoE connection, so I have to log in before I establish a connection, but with this "program", I can run that PPPoE connection and keep it connected, even while my computer is off. I just want to give it a true always on connection. Your help is EXTREMELY appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Sort of like asking if the bedroom lights can be on when the switch is off. Software requires an "on" computer with electricity.

There are such things as "wake on lan" which can wake up a computer from standby mode, but not from off mode.

There's this proggy for win2k, "AppToService". I can send you the link if you want. It does that exactly. But it only works for Windows 2k and NT. C'mon, someone has to know what I'm talking about! :(
