The point I'm at now:
WIRELESS:
pc can "see" laptop and transfer files.
laptop can't "see" pc or transfer files.
WIRED:
both pc and laptop "see" each other and transfer files.
HELP!!!!
UPDATE! Sunday morning finally managed to get everything up and running. It turns out the problem was on pc1, although tcp/ip was selected in the properties window for the pc's nic it wasn't selected in the bindings for file and printer shareing. Now all pc's and laptop can do what a network's ment to do.
