okay so i am using a 2wire DSL ethernet connection through my desktop. i jus recieved a new labtop and i can connect to the wireless network just fine, but when i go to search on internet explorer it says "no sever found". my question is how do i get a browser up for my wireless connection? i am connected to the network but i canno get a browser to work? please help. thank you. i have a hp pavillion

check DNS settings on your laptop. Your ISP must have given to you. Also check default gateway on your laptop.
I understand from your query, you are sharing an internet connection through desktop.
Being connected on wireless network doesn't mean anything. It is just a connection between your AP & the client (laptop in your case). Check DNS on AP also.
