Connection is working Fine but I have High latency

Whenever, I play a online game my latency jumps very high up 2000. I'm on a wireless connection and I plan to keep it and I have done everything u could think of to fix the game, but it still dosen't works. So my guess its the wireless connection...

Any suggestions???

My network adapter: D-Link AirPlus DWL -520+ Wireless PCI Adapter

(Note: I've updated my driver and i've went to the company's site and came empty handed.)

If you are on wireless network try swtiching to wired to see if the latency decreases at all
