Hello folks,
I've got a somewhat strange situation that I'm trying to configure for, with little luck. Here's what I'm trying to do:
Connect 4 Wireless computers, through the Belkin Pre-N through to Comcast's modem, WITHOUT NAT. Each of these computers needs to have its own IP to the outside world. I bought 4 additional IP's from Comcast, so that shouldn't be an issue. I can connect fine through the Pre-N router (I'm going through it right now to write this note) But when I either deactivate NAT, or go to Access Point Mode, I lose any access to the router's internal webpages, or through to the internet. I'm at a loss. Here's my current configuration:
LAN Settings
LAN/WLAN MAC
00:11:50:D0:86:88 / 00:11:50:D1:9E:AD
IP address
192.168.2.1
Subnet mask
255.255.255.0
DHCP Server
Enabled
Internet Settings
WAN MAC address
00:11:50:D0:86:89
Connection Type
Dynamic
Subnet mask
255.255.248.0
Wan IP
24.17.94.186
Default gateway
24.17.88.1
DNS Address
68.87.69.146
I have followed the instructions in the manual regarding switching to Access Point mode, including changing the subnet mask to match my existing WAN, but nuthin. Has anyone had any luck with this sort of configuration? Oh. The reason each machine needs an external independent IP is that the servers I'm receiving data from throttle on an IP by IP basis. I'm needing to get a full feed for each of my processing machines.
Thanks so much.
