I've got 3 computers in my house, which are all connected to the internet through a wireless router, and some D-Link (DWL-122) USB adapters. I was wondering if it's possible for me to set up a wireless LAN through these adapters AND still have the wireless access through the router.
I've not really got any experience of setting up networks, and I tried setting it up using windows network wizard, and it was completely useless, as it didn't set up a network when I did everything it said, and so I was wondering also if i need to set up the wireless adapters for another network first.
Cheers.

File and Print sharing set as an exception in your XP firewall? Or are you running a 3rd party software firewall?

paulmat.... I am confused. If you are already connected via wireless why would you try to connect wireless via an alt method/means? Forget Windows Network, especially if PC networking are foreign objects.
You mentioned "another network", what other network are referring to?

What I mean is that I have internet access only through a wireless router, and was wondering if I could network the computers so I can share files and printers.

Works just like a wired network!
Make sure that you have all the computers on the same workgroup.
make sure all the computers have file and print sharing enabled.
make sure your firewall is allowing the local network.

Only thing is, I've never set up a wired network even :p
Is there a limit to number of printers that can be shared. I have two USB ports on my desktop with two printers connected Dell AO922 and Epson 7800. I am able to share he Epson printer. Can I share the Dell printer? How do I do this?
There is no limit to the number of printers that can be shared (at least as far as I know). Just go into the Dell printer properties, and choose sharing. Now you need to make that the drivers are available for the other PC(s) to load, if they are not already there. Then you should be able to install it as another printer on each of the alternate PCs.
Make sense??
