Hey seems like a great forum you have here. Well heres my question. I'm fairly new to home networking and am somewhat confused. I signed up for verizon DSL and I'm trying to think of the best way to wire it in my house. I have cat5 running through my house due to recent remodeling of the entire house. I thought it might be a little confusing to try to explain what I thought might work, so i made a rough sketch of it. Would this work in my house?

Yes I think it will work. And if you have a fax it has to be connected to the DSL filter.

Yup..long as your DSL modem isn't filtered.

Sorry, when I said various phones I also mean faxes satelite receivers ect. Is there a length limit on the cat5 comming from the modem to the computers?

This is a little of topic but since i already started a thread, when trying to activate the dsl on my mac the verizon activation disc says i need internet explorer to run the disc, but i can't download it anymore because the micosoft website says the mac version of IE is discontunued. What can i do about that?
