Question for some of you who know about wireless. I am new to it, very. Well I just got a laptop and I came up to my room sat down and saw that I was connected to the internet from someones wireless internet, Now I'm not big on stealing from people I have my own cable modem I don't need his, Actually his is pretty slow from my house any way... The question is, would it be possible for me to make some money off this fool... Me begin connected to his network can I send his a message or find out who he is from an IP address and go over to his house and be like hey man, for the last week I just saw everything you did on the net... You want me to fix it? 50 bucks... thats the plan.... Think any of you could help me out with that?

OK I know I'm posting back on my own post but I thought if anyone out there was wanting to make some money some day to try this...

DISCLAMER:
I, nor any of my co-worker, are responcable for what you do with this power. We are not telling you to go out and steal someones bank information or anything like that.

If you click on your Start Menu, then click Run, type in Winchat and choose dail from the drop down menu on your top right it should bring up some computers in a pop up window. Double click on a computer you think is theirs, it will show users on that computer. Most of the time, general people use their first names as user names, You can simple look around your block for someone with that name, or you can send them a message if their computer is turned on.

NOTE:
Just because you are using their wireless network does not mean they are logged on, or their computer is turned on. It will not let you send a message if they are not logged on or if their computer is turned off.

Maybe this will help someone in the furture, and pardon my spelling it's late....

Lets look at it this way.......
Would a burglar break into someones home, hide in the bedroom closet....waiting for the homeowner to find him there...then say "Hey...your left your house unlocked, want me to show you how to lock them?"

What should that burglar expect as a reaction from the homeowner?
