It depends. Seems that there is quite a spread for RWIN on this forum.
The best thing it to try different one's and time a large download.
Here are a few to try. These are the values listed by several people on this forum to try.
65535
104832
186880
256960
261948
327040
373760
I seem to get the best results with an rwin of 327040.
371712
511104
the thing is what can your connection handle.
These are my two one for my server and one for my work station 64240 is another one. I use this with a ftp server.
these are the combinations I use with Win2k.
between downhill and myself you have a range now.
If your running win98 make sure to update the Vtcp.386 from the tweak page

Thats a old update for VTCP.386. Go to www.updates.com (http://www.updates.com) Under my updates you will find a link to essentail updates. This will give you the newest one.

As I've got 512k/128k cable, I would also like to know whats the best rwin value. Atm im using:
mtu = 1500
mss = 1472
rwin = I'm confused http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/frown.gif
Is a higher rwin value better? Cos every since my cable co updated their caching severs my connections gone crap. Atm Ive got win98se, speed patch and web patch. Any suggestins?
Thx
