Question on Kaspersky

I have Kaspersky Antivirus going and it seems to startup slow and load programs a bit slower, i got 3.2ghz P4, 2gig ram, and 256 ram nvidia, but i was just wondering is it the settings of recommended by Kaspersky that it making it take longer so it keeps me safe or should i have it set to high-speed and see if that helps makes things load faster again or will that not protect me as well

and just of curiousiness is anyone that is using Kaspersky can you tell me what settings you use or recommend and if you notice a little slower performance on your pc, but it isnt like a dramatic drop of speed just a little

:rotfl: plus, (my bad for going on and on) but is it me or is the new firefox update a little slower/buggy/or timeout alot, maybe thats what is bogging the speed a little

First make sure you are using Kaspersky Antivirus 6 (http://usa.kaspersky.com/products/anti-virus.php), if updating to it doesn't solve the problem please post back.

I have the same problem,i start my PC and Kaspersky did not start until 12 or 15 seconds later,i think the anti virus is great,it only need more polish but overall its ok.
