How can I tell the speed of my cable modem/ dsl I mean something close to the real speed?
Someone told me about this site [url=http://speedtest.mybc.com[/url]
but I don't undestand it is there is any thing easier than this site.
Thanks

I use this site as a test for "REAL" throughput because it's a download. I believe it to be more accurate than the speed tests. Of course, there are many others.

eg. 1.858mbps (or 1858kbps) / 8 = ~232KBps (kilobytes per second)
key:
kbps/mbps (or Kbps/Mbps) = kilobits/megabits per sec
MBps/KBps = kilobytes/megabytes per sec
